He got a PhD in big data, machine learning and bioinformatics at Interuniversity Institute of Bioinformatics in Brussels, (IB)2, researching novel functional elements in human and mouse genomes using multi-omics data integration and distributed machine learning algorithms. During the doctoral program he acquired data analysis, data visualization and communication skills to work in team-based interdisciplinary projects.
He uses his web developer competences to prototype ideas, from online communities to social media tools. He consistently widens and challenges his own expertise.
